In July, home affordability saw notable improvement across 10 of 13 major Canadian cities, driven largely by falling home prices. Here in Vancouver, we experienced the largest decrease in the income required to purchase a home—a significant shift for our market. Mortgage rates also edged down, and it’s still possible to secure discounted fixed-rate mortgages below 4%.
